Neh 6:12-13 Lord, reveal and expose any persons around me that the enemy may be using to gain entry into my life and this ministry.

John 10:12-13 I bind and remove from my life and ministry every hireling that cares not for the sheep, but would leave them defenseless against wolves.

I bind and remove every Judas, in whom betrayal and thievery is a way of life.

I bind and remove every Absalom, who is seeking status through subversion and stealing the hearts of the people from God ordained leadership.

I bind and remove every Nabal, whose heart is against your anointed and has no intent to help or assist in fulfilling our mission.

I bind and remove every Cain, who through jealousy and disobedience to God would seek to destroy the upright.

Neh 2:19, 6:2 I bind and remove every Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshum who instead of helping us, their hearts are set on mischief to be our enemy and our adversary.

I Kings 21:25 I bind and remove every Jezebel, sent to cut off God’s ministers and stir up wickedness.

And I bind and remove every agent of evil from my life, ministry, business, and family and I thank you Lord, for angels as ministering spirits who guard and protect us, hearkening to the voice of your Word.

Ps 91:10, Ps 33:10 I loose your protective covenant of protection over us, that no evil shall befall us and no weapon formed against us shall prosper. You bring the counsel of the heathen to nought, and make the devices of the people of none effect.

Isaiah 66:14 Lord, execute vengeance upon those spirits and agents of the devil. Cause your hand to be known toward your servants, and your indignation toward your enemies. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES
  • John 6:64 Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
  • Psalm 21:8 Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee v11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
  • Matt 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

How to Get Direction from God About the Stuff That Matters Most

As a pastor and someone who is very visible in a large ministry, there are a few questions that I get more often than others. “Are you Bill Winston’s son?” – Yes, since birth. “How old are you??” – I was born in 1985 so you can do the math. But the last one is the most important question and a question that everyone seems to have at some point:

“What do I do now?? I need some direction.”

In life it is certain that at some point we're all going to need direction. What I have found is that sometimes the direction that we think we should take is not always the direction that God wants us to take.
Ephesians 2:10 the Amplified Bible says, "For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]."

So there's a path that God has planned for us to take. A place of success reserved just for you. The only catch is that God is the only one who has the map, so if we want to get there, we have to for directions.

Free From the Trap

11/20/2016

When the Bible uses the word offended it is translated from the original Greek word ‘skandalizo’. It literally translates “to fall into a trap.” This is where we get our current English word scandalous. When I think about the state of our county and culture,  it seems like everyone is offended at something. But if offended can be translated as falling into a trap, then we have to ask the question, who is behind setting up all of these traps?…Because that’s all they are. TRAPS. How many of us have unknowingly gotten caught up in a trap, whether personal or political, and then asked ourselves how did we get into this mess? Things have gotten messy for sure. But when you choose to walk in love, you are choosing freedom over entrapment. Love repels offense, and is the pathway to your freedom.

Don’t be a victim to the Enemy’s traps in media, culture, politics, religion, news, and anything else you can think of. Walk in love, like Jesus did. That's the only way you can live above all of the foolishness in this world today. That's how you can be free from the trap. #FreefromtheTrap

5 Steps To Ending Worry in Your Life

10/14/2016

During the last few weeks I have been teaching as series called "Care•less" - not meaning not careful, but living free of worry and anxiety. In the world today it seems like it's impossible to avoid worrying about something. Life brings so many twists and turns. Some are expected and some are a complete surprise. But know this, God was not surprised by what you are going through. As a matter of fact, He saw it coming. Now you might be wondering, God why are you letting me go through this?? However, there is one thing that we should consider before we point the finger at God: He has already prepared our rescue package. That's why God is good, because He didn't leave us alone or forget about our needs. He saw what we needed ahead of time and made reservations for us. All we have to do is receive His strategy, wisdom, direction, and provision that will prove to be the answer to whatever life is throwing our way.

God says in a passage found in 1 Peter 5:5-10 that you can cast all of your cares (worries, anxieties) on Him because he cares for you. BUT there is a specific strategy that this passage outlines, giving us steps to follow so we can live worry free. Here we go!

Forgiven: Hate Cannot Do What Love Does

10/3/2016

Recently I posted on my Instagram account asking people for their suggestions on blog topics. I got a lot of good responses, but one topic was consistent: LOVE.
A man once said that no person gets mad at a blind man for bumping into him. Instead, they just give that blind man directions and show him the way. I mean, who gets mad at a blind man right?? Right now, there are many people in this world who are blind - or walking in darkness, and when they “bump" into us our response can be either be love or offense. We can either get mad, get even, or be kind. After all, they can't see. Jesus says in Luke 17:1 that offenses are bound to come, but we have to remember that being offended is a decision. One preacher used to say it like this: You can’t stop a bird from pooping on your head, but you can stop him from building a nest in your hair. We are encouraged to walk in love in every situation and scenario (Matthew 22:39). The problems in our life come when we decide to pick and choose when we will walk in love, and who is worthy of receiving our love. I'm sure glad that God didn't pick and choose who is worthy of His love... But that's a discussion for another post.

Recently I had my own run in with offense. I had a choice to make. Was I going to let this situation dictate the rest of my day/week, or would I forgive? Something that I have learned is that offense always comes in through unmet expectations. Since I expected this person to act a certain way, I was then surprised by what they did next. I trusted them and they broke my trust. I believed them and they lied. Have you ever found yourself in that situation? Usually the closer a person is to you, the deeper the offense can go because they have such an intimate access to your heart. Anyone who can love you a lot also has the ability to hurt you a lot. I'm not saying that you should have trust issues. I'm just saying, getting hurt or offended happens. But this one scripture always helps me get right - Ephesians 4:32 "...forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." However, forgiveness can be difficult. So, how do we forgive?
