This is an excerpt from my very first book that I'm writing right now. Let me know your thoughts!
"God made you different, special and unique because the needs of the people are unique. People even pick different products and things based on their unique preferences. Your purpose will ultimately affect other people. But it's not just about what you do, but about who you are. Who you are determines how your gift is delivered. Think of it as me giving you a present. I can have 2 similar gifts in 2 white boxes. One has blue gift wrapping paper on the outside and the other one has red gift wrapping paper. If red is your favorite color, you might be more prone to take the one wrapped in red. If both had blue wrapping paper, you might not have cared which one you got. Do you see how the presentation of the package mattered, and one got your attention more than another. It's the same way with the personalities that God has given us. They are what makes us unique, even when we feel like our gift is similar to someone else's. Your personality is how God packages your gift and presents it to the world. And additionally, just because the gift with blue wrapping paper was not picked, that didn't mean something was wrong with that package. The fact that the other gift was preferred had more to do with the recipient than the actual content of the gift. Remember, God will take you to a people, place and environment where they prefer your gift, delivered to them through your personality because that's the way they will receive it best!"
